Started as a freelancer, went full time about four months in.
My work for Paramount (fka ViacomCBS) was on the internal creative and strategy team—working on internal, employee-facing campaigns like the Content for Change program, but also external events like the 2022 Paramount Upfront presentation. More on that below.
Paramount Upfront 2022
The biggest project I worked on at Paramount was writing copy for materials around (and in) the big Upfront presentation, including but not limited to: on-screen slides pre- and post-event, as well as the big, splashy opener video, wherein (former) CEO Bob Bakish and Shari Redstone drive the Transformers car Bumblebee into the studio.
Speaking of Bumblebee…
That intro to the 2022 Upfront presentation—the one I helped to ideate, script out, and present just days before Christmas Day… inspired Jeremy Strong for his performance in S4E6 of Succession.
It was not fun to work on! So it’s nice that it inspired as delusional a fictional moment as it felt in reality; that’s what we in the biz call synergy.
Content for Change
Content for Change is Paramount’s internal program to develop and encourage diverse talent both internally and externally—from the content they produce to the creative supply chain that powers it, to the culture that underpins it all.
I worked on the site copy, as well as helping with the thematic video concept and production.
